Career Coaching
Since I started working in the nonprofit sector in 2003 right after graduating from college, I have been incredibly fortunate to meet a lot of people who have helped me develop in my career. Now, I have developed some experience and expertise around career development and I want to share it to help other young nonprofit professionals advance in their careers.
.
I have not had any formal education in career coaching, so my advice and feedback is based upon my experience, that of my friends in the nonprofit sector, and a lot of reading and collecting information on these topics. I focus on giving practical, realistic feedback that will help you accomplish both short- and long-term career goals. Considering that I have at least a few people contact me each week for career advice, I must be doing something right!

A recent comment from someone I helped negotiate a promotion:
“I owe you a HUGE thank you. As you probably saw on Facebook, my proposal to [my boss] was met with appreciation and compliments, and they have agreed to change my title and give me a promotion. This opportunity is thanks to you… I could not have gotten the courage or organization to ask for it myself. Having your support and advice was so helpful.”
